Mackintosh at the Willow—there’s a lot of confusion about the Mackintosh tea rooms in Glasgow, because there are two and they are very similar. The one at the Willow is the original and is the only surviving tearoom designed by Mackintosh for local entrepreneur and patron Miss Catherine Cranston. It also houses an exhibition on Mackintosh’s life and work.
Willow Tea Rooms Glasgow—while not the original, these tea rooms are wonderful recreations of Mackintosh’s designs and are located in a spot that once housed a well-known tea room in Glasgow.
Fast Food in Glasgow—the reality is, when you’re in the city center of Glasgow you are never far from a fast-food/takeaway place. Check out Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street for just about any quick cuisine you could want.
